I have been spending my days preparing for winter and the days ahead. Putting food back for times ahead just seems like a good idea to me. So this week it has all been about blueberries. They get washed.

And then after letting them dry I put them on sheet pans and pop them in the freezer. Once frozen, they are sealed in approx. 2 cup packages with my food saver. This will allow us to use small amounts of the berries at a time and not run the chance of freezer burn from allowing air in like with a ziplock bag.

So that is what I have been creating!

  1. I haven't bought any blueberries yet, but will. We typically buy 20 lbs of them to freeze, make jam and jelly with.

  2. Kristina.........I found those for 99cents a pint. And I ended up with 25 pints.

I try my best to read every comment. And I love hearing from you all.
